Friday Research Seminar: Skin Deep: Explorations of a Metalsmith
In this presentation, Joe Muench, professor of art and visual culture (jewelry/metalsmithing), will speak about his experiences as the designer and creator of hand-formed and fabricated metal sculpture and objects. Over the past four decades, his research has embraced a wide range of approaches from ancient to modern, and has sought to reveal the relationships between the disciplines of art, science, engineering and the human experience.
Muench’s talk is part of the Friday Research Seminar Series sponsored by the Institute for Design Research and Outreach. All are welcome to attend this brown-bag session. Cookies will be provided.
