Shive-Hattery Lecture: Enrica Oliva

Enrica Oliva, partner, COO and director of the Structures Group at Werner Sobek New York, will present “Werner Sobek New York: Dissolving the Boundaries between Engineering and Architecture.”
Oliva’s experience on the US market started with nine years of design and project management at Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. in New York. Since joining Werner Sobek New York in early 2016 as the director of the Structures Group, Oliva has managed high-end residential projects and academic projects as well as peer review work of large-scale buildings. Appointed partner and COO in 2017, Oliva has since been overseeing the work of the Structures, Facades and Sustainability Practices within the office. She is currently a visiting assistant professor at the School of Architecture of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and adjunct assistant professor at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. In 2018, Oliva was awarded the title of “Rising Star in Structural Engineering” as one of the 14 most prominent structural engineers in the US under the age of 40.
