Join the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities for this hosted “lunch and learn” session about “Bridging the Divide,” a new interdisciplinary research grant program at Iowa State. Awards will be available in two funding increments: one-year planning grants of up to $10,000 and two-year research grants of up to $25,000 a year. Support will come entirely from the ISU Presidential Interdisciplinary Research Fund.
The session will bring together interested faculty from across campus, provide examples of existing collaborative activities through lightning talks and answer questions about the new program. Lightning talks by Annette O’Connor, veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine, and Clark Wolf, philosophy and religious studies. Surya Mallapragada of the VPR’s office and Carlton Basmajian, CEAH director, will moderate and join faculty in discussions. Register for lunch.
