The Making of Campus Art
An internship sponsored by the Department of Residence allowed fourth-year architecture student Evan Harrison the opportunity to travel to New York City and work for a week in the studio of internationally acclaimed artist Mickalene Thomas on the recently installed Geoffroy Residence Hall mural. Harrison will share about his internship experience through pictures and stories, revealing what it takes to make campus public art. Two sessions are available, 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Read more about Harrison’s experience and and the artwork in this Aug. 29 Iowa State Daily story.
