The Making of Campus Art
An internship sponsored by the Department of Residence allowed architecture senior Evan Harrison the opportunity to travel to New York City and work in the studio of internationally acclaimed artist Mickalene Thomas on the recently installed Geoffroy Residence Hall mural. Harrison will share his internship experience through pictures and stories, revealing what it takes to make campus public art. This is the second available session, at 8 p.m.
Read more about Harrison’s experience and and the artwork in this Aug. 29 Iowa State Daily story.
