Raluca Iancu, assistant professor of art and visual culture, received the 2021 FATE Emerging Educator Award from the Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE) educational association during the virtual 2021 FATE Conference: Infrastructure April 15–17. The award celebrates a FATE member in the early stages of their career with fewer than 10 years of collegiate teaching experience.
Nominees must exhibit a dedication to foundations teaching, capacity for innovation, willingness to share knowledge and contributions to FATE as a professional association. FATE Awards are given biennially with nominations solicited from FATE members and juried by a committee of FATE members and past award winners.
