(OUT THERE) in Here: Surface Tension and the Spatial Apparatus, an exhibition of work by Pete Goché, an Iowa State University assistant professor of architecture, will be on display Oct. 29 through Dec. 9 in Wartburg College’s Waldemar A. Schmidt Art Gallery. The gallery, in Bachman Fine Arts Center, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, with a gallery talk by Goché at 7 p.m.

Using experimental drawing and site-adjusted installations, Goché deploys an integrated and focused approach to the production of research assemblies with a relative capacity to unite, react or interact with the landscape. The work provides a material/immaterial reflection on the contemporary social configuration of the post-industrial landscape of Iowa.
