Neha Mehrotra

Author: Heather Sauer

Neha Mehrotra, associate teaching professor of community and regional planning, displayed examples of contemporary and ancient architecture of India at a mela (Indian fair) hosted by the India Cultural Association Saturday, Jan. 28, in Ames. She also offered an activity for middle school and high school students to make bookmarks with Indian calligraphy.

“I think it’s very important to learn about culture and art,” Mehrotra said in a story in the Iowa State Daily. “There are a lot of resources online, but to be able to experience this in person is important. It’s a way of keeping the culture I grew up with alive.”
