Kwadwo A. Gyan, graduate student in community and regional planning and urban design, presented “Re-Envisioning Public Spaces: Streetscape Design Strategies for Informal Neighborhoods” at the 49th annual Conference of the Urban Affairs Association Friday, April 26, in Los Angeles. His poster presentation about design strategies for the informal neighborhood of Alto Peru in Lima, Peru, was mentored by Sungduck Lee, lecturer in architecture and urban design, and Ben Shirtcliff, assistant professor of landscape architecture and urban design.
