“Backyard Road Trips,” a story by Jared Brey about the ISU Department of Landscape Architecture’s Savanna Studio, is published in the May 2022 issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine. It covers the study and Landscape Journal article co-authored by Hans Klein-Hewett, assistant professor of landscape architecture, and Ann Gansemer-Topf, associate professor in the School of Education, about the Savanna Studio’s impacts on students in the first semester of their sophomore year who spend up to six weeks traveling with the required studio.
