Emily Godbey, associate professor of art and visual culture, will present “Butter Sculpture and Refrigeration: The Midwest Combination of Art and Science” at a symposium on “The History of Midwest Science and Technology.” Sponsored through a grant by the ISU Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities, the two-day symposium (8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and 8:30 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 606 Ross Hall) will feature 16 scholars whose research focuses on the Midwest region.
