“Ephemeral Memorials,” an article by Emily Godbey, associate professor of art and visual culture, has been published in Revista, the Harvard Review of Latin America. In the article, Godgey talks about the importance of the “ofrenda” in Hispanic and Latinx communities during 2020, arguing that sometimes the ephemeral is more flexible in accommodating grief immediately, and briefly comments on Frida Kahlo’s thematic use of the ofrenda.
