Diane Al Shihabi & Mikesch Muecke

Iowa State University faculty Diane Al Shihabi, assistant professor of interior design, and Mikesch Muecke, associate professor of architecture, were invited by Regina Loukotova, director of the Architectural Institute in Prague (ARCHIP), to speak about their current research and teaching related to the new preservation and cultural heritage certificate program administered through the ISU College of Design.

Al Shihabi and Muecke presented “Preservation and Cultural Heritage Curriculum Development: A Case Study in Design Education at the Intersection of History and Technology” Wednesday, March 14, at the ARCHIP facility in Prague, Czech Republic. Their lecture was co-sponsored by ARCHIP and the European Union Structural and Investment Fund.
