Caroline Westort, an assistant professor of landscape architecture, will present “Geodesigning the Farm of the Future: Parameterizing for Climate Change” at the 2019 Geodesign Summit Feb. 25-28 in Redlands, California. The presentation describes her fall 2018 third-year graduate capstone studio, which looked at different farm types located in distinct landform regions of Iowa and proposed design scenarios incorporating best management practices to prevent and mitigate each farm’s climate-change impacts.
