Carlos Cardoso, associate professor of industrial design, was invited to join the Organizing & Review Committee for the Creativity Conference 2020, where some of the most prominent researchers and educators studying the science of creative thinking gather. Together with Ana Luz, associate teaching professor in industrial design, he will facilitate and participate in a panel presentation on “[Mis]conceptions about Creative Thinking in Design,” a discussion with colleagues from business and engineering fields about some of the educational, professional and research challenges these communities face. This work stems from their previous research and pedagogical outputs in Europe, and follows up their creative thinking skills development and graduate programs in design and engineering curricula.
