Biswa Das, associate professor of community and regional planning and extension community development specialist, has been elected to serve as a councilor for the North American Regional Science Council (NARSC). This is the largest body of regional science scholars in North America. Das has been a member of the Mid-Continent Regional Science Association (MCRSA), one of the five regional associations of NARSC, for about 13 years; he served as MCRSA vice president, president-elect, president and past president from 2014–2018. His three-year term with NARSC begins in January 2022.
