Bambi Yost, Iowa State University associate professor of landscape architecture, was a featured speaker at the Power of Play Conference, sponsored by the National Inclusion Project, March 20 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She presented “Lessons Learned the Hard Way While Building Community Through Play” about the challenges and successes of a successful citywide, public-private initiative to reconstruct 96 Denver Public School playgrounds and a newly established, community-based schoolyard initiative in Philadelphia.
