The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) awarded a $216,849 grant to support an interdisciplinary Summer Institute for College and University Teachers on the topic of “Culture in the Cold War: East German Art, Music and Film,” to take place from June 17 to July 14, 2018. One of eight people organizing the project, April Eisman, ISU associate professor of art and visual culture (art history), will serve as a guest faculty member, giving a keynote address and several lectures.
