“Symbolic Erasures and Populist Discontent: The Post-War Rebuilding of Historic Dresden,” an article by April Eisman, associate professor of art and visual culture (art history), has been published in Monatshefte, Vol. 114, No. 1, 2022, 24-51.

In January, Eisman became part of the editorial board for the German Studies Review.

Also in January, she gave a talk titled, “Positively Critical: Angela Hampel in the Late 1980s,” at the 4. Cottbus Workshop: “Kunst und Architektur der DDR, Formen Künstlerischer Autonomie,” an online workshop organized by the Brandenburgische Technische Universität in Cottbus, Germany.
