Based on a True Story, an exhibition of audio works by Alex Braidwood, an Iowa State University assistant professor of graphic design, will be in the Sweeney Gallery at the Octagon Center for the Arts in Ames from May 18 through Aug. 11. Each visit to the exhibition will be a different experience because the works presented are not fixed compositions but are instead composed as dynamic systems that respond to a variety of conditions. A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 1, in conjunction with the Ames Main Street Cultural District’s ArtWalk.
