AMES, Iowa — Nine Iowa State University students and recent graduates are among 22 Emerging Iowa Artists selected to exhibit their work at the Des Moines Arts Festival, June 27-29 in Western Gateway Park.

Now in its 12th year, the Emerging Iowa Artists program provides an opportunity for young visual artists to showcase their talent at one of the nation's top arts festivals, which annually attracts more than 200,000 visitors.

Students selected from Iowa State this year include Paige Stanton of Windsor Heights, who just completed her freshman year in the College of Design, and integrated visual arts graduate student Sodam Lee, Seoul, South Korea, who won Best of Emerging Iowa Artists in the 2013 festival.
