Call for environmental artwork for Climate Change Theatre Action: Lighting the Way exhibit
Iowa State University faculty, staff and students are invited to submit artwork that addresses climate change and the environment in some way for an environmental art exhibit planned in conjunction with the opening production of ISU Theatre’s 2019-2020 season. The production is a local contribution to Climate Change Theatre Action: Lighting the Way, an international initiative that supports the United Nations Climate Change Conference and encourages local action to address climate change. Performances will be at Fisher Theater, an outdoor location on the ISU campus and Ames Public Library during the first two weeks of October, and the accompanying exhibit will help raise awareness of climate change issues.
Artwork should be submitted as jpeg images via email to Rob Sunderman, designer/scenographer and associate professor of theater design, by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15. Include artist(s)’ name(s), phone numbers, email addresses and whether you are Iowa State students; the size of your piece(s) and whether they are 2D or 3D; and a brief artist’s statement. Questions? Contact director Vivian Cook.
