Cardinal Women professional development opportunity
Applications are being accepted for Cardinal Women, a free professional growth opportunity for women* who are faculty and Professional & Scientific staff at Iowa State. Participants will engage in discussions designed to foster leadership development, goal orientation and purpose in their personal and professional spheres. The curriculum involves a monthly gathering that will include large and small-group discussions and short written and/or video resources to be viewed prior to the gathering. Topics will include identifying and silencing the inner critic, discovering and utilizing your inner mentor, communication-style strategies, approaches to negotiation and how to support and affirm women in our community.
Note: This group is designed to support faculty and staff who identify as women, including cisgender, trans, of trans experience, etc. Sessions will be held from 2:10–4 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 2, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11. Participation at all sessions is preferred; if you there is a date you know you have a conflict please describe that in your statement of interest. Apply online through Friday, May 17.
