SVPP offers repeat of faculty workshop on the ‘public classroom’

Seemingly every week, university faculty members come under fire for statements or material presented in the classroom. The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost will offer a repeat of its annual faculty workshop, “The ‘Public Classroom,'” from 2–3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. Faculty are invited to join university counsel Michael Norton for a review of the current environment and its implications for freedom of speech and academic freedom. Light refreshments will be provided.
