Register for three-part series on Sketchnoting with Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness
Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to register for “Sketchnoting for Visual Notetaking and More,” a three-part workshop series on a pattern-based notetaking strategy that actively engages learners. Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness, assistant professor of industrial design, will demonstrate the essentials of Sketchnoting. Participants will learn the basics, start building your own simple image libraries and discuss ways to implement low-fidelity visual maps of what you see, hear and think. You will leave these sessions with concrete ways to break linear-thinking barriers for yourself and students. The third session in the series will be an open work day/practice session.
Sponsored by the ISU Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, the series meets from 12:10 to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 4, Oct. 11and Oct. 18 in 2030 Morrill. Register online through Learn@ISU. See instructions.
