Inclusion workshop for faculty
The Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost will host a workshop designed to help faculty identify sources of bias — explicit or implicit — in their interactions with students, colleagues and community members, and to develop mechanisms for addressing unintended bias. “Mission Not-Impossible: Inclusion at a Land-Grant Institution” will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Memorial Union Cardinal Room. The workshop has only two requirements: an inquisitive mind and an electronic device (phone, tablet, laptop) that can connect to the internet. The workshop will be led by Reginald Stewart, vice president for diversity and inclusion, and Jose Rosa, professor of marketing and faculty fellow for diversity and inclusion. Light refreshments will be provided.
