Volunteers needed to staff College of Design/ISU exhibit at Iowa State Fair

A lighted pavilion based on a design by an interdisciplinary team of College of Design students will be featured at Iowa State’s display at the 2018 Iowa State Fair. Volunteers are needed to staff the exhibit in two shifts per day, Thursday, Aug. 9, through Sunday, Aug. 19, at the Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. The volunteer shifts run from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 2:45 to 9 p.m. each day. Expenses covered include parking in a State Fairgrounds parking lot the day(s) you volunteer; admission to the State Fair for the day(s) you volunteer; one of the university’s State Fair-themed t-shirts to be worn while volunteering; name tag to be worn while volunteering at the exhibit; and a bottle of water during your shift(s).
