Okta secure login debuts March 1
Iowa State is moving to a new login system called “Okta” that will replace the university’s multiple login systems with a modern, Cloud-based service to protect your information and offer convenient access to your applications (CyMail, CyBox, Outlook, AccessPlus and others). Beginning Thursday, March 1, you will see a new login page when accessing campus applications via the web. This is the first of several phases to provide an improved user experience through Single Sign On (SSO), a user dashboard, and enhanced security upon activation of Multifactor Authentication (MFA).
You can get started using Okta by logging in at login.iastate.edu. If you want to get a head start on protecting your account, you can activate MFA now by logging into Okta and selecting “Activate Multifactor Authentication.” At this time, activating MFA is optional, but in the future it will be required. Once you activate your MFA, your information will be better protected by requiring your ISU NetID, password and a third factor to login. That means only you should have access to your account.
