Register for Nov. 8 grant-writing workshop

The Office of the Vice President for Research will host an all-day workshop on “Writing Winning Grant Proposals” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the Memorial Union Sun Room. The presentation will comprehensively address both practical and conceptual aspects that are important to writing competitive grant proposals. The workshop is tailored to meet the needs of the faculty audience, focusing on the funding agencies (federal, private and/or industry) that are of greatest interest to the attendees. Emphasis is given to doing the “extra” things that can make the difference between success and failure.

Participants will receive an extensive handout as well as a field-relevant copy of “The Grant Application Writer’s Workbook.” The cost of this workshop is $80, which includes the workbook. Attendees must have the permission of their department chairs or other authorizing personnel before registering for this event. Register online.
