Workshop offered for faculty going up for full professor

ISU ADVANCE is offering a workshop for associate professors who are planning to go up for full professor in the near future. “Pathways to Promotion” (10 – 11:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, MU Oak Room) will cover preparation of all components of your position responsibilities in your portfolio and highlight the different paths presenters took to meeting the requirements of advancement to full professor.

Presenters will include Beate Schmittmann, professor of physics and astronomy and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Catherine Kling, Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor in Agriculture and Life Sciences and President’s Chair in Environmental Economics; James Andrews, professor of history and chair of the LAS promotion and tenure committee; and Julia Badenhope, professor of landscape architecture and chair of the College of Design promotion and tenure committee.

There will be time for Q&A and light refreshments will be provided. RSVP online by Sept. 11.
