Film and panel discussion on evolution of xenophobia
The Design Community on Diversity and the College of Design Diversity Committee will host a film viewing and panel discussion on “The Evolution of Xenophobia” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in 181 Design. The program will explore the evolution of xenophobia in America and the impact of stereotypical portrayals of people from the Middle East and other racialized groups in media and politics. There will be a panel of faculty members and students who have been affected by the presidential executive order and the uncertainty of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) renewal. Questions? Contact College of Design Multicultural Liaison Officer Audrey Kennis.
