Panel discussion on legal rights of immigrants in Iowa
The Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion will host a panel discussion, Know Your Rights (PDF), from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Memorial Union Great Hall. The forum will focus on the legal rights of all immigrants living in Iowa, including undocumented residents and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students. How to address hate incidents and available resources on and off campus also will be shared. Panelists will represent Iowa State, Iowa Department of Human Rights, Justice for Our Neighbors, American Friends Service Committee, One Iowa and ACLU of Iowa.
