Adrienne Nelson (BFA 2009 Interior Design / MArch 2013 Architecture), AIA, LEED GA, an associate at Pickard Chilton, has been named one of ENR New England’s 2020 Top Young Professionals. The annual award recognizes the best and brightest emerging design and construction leaders from across the New England region, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. One of only 10 professionals under 40 who received the honor this year, Nelson is among those who, in just a few short years, have built extraordinary industry portfolios while also donating significant amounts of time and expertise to serve their communities.
Nelson’s latest role with Pickard Chilton was as project manager for Boston Properties’ 325 Main Street, a corporate office tower for Google in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was also a key contributor to 2+U, an office tower and public plaza in Seattle, Washington. She recently served as an AIA Connecticut board member and is the co-chair of the AIA Connecticut Emerging Professionals Community. She was also one of 28 professionals invited to join the 2020-2022 inaugural class of the AIA Leadership Academy. Nelson is also a mentor and former team leader for the New Haven affiliate of the ACE Mentor Program.
