David Lee Andersen, AIA
David Lee Andersen (BA 1974 / MArch 1977 Architecture), AIA, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, completed a 20-year master plan for the iconic Fontenelle Forest Nature Center near the Omaha suburb of Bellevue, Nebraska. The plan was adopted by the Fontenelle Forest Board of Directors on Nov. 15. The nature reserve was established more than 100 years ago before the creation of the US National Park Service. It is one of the oldest such nature reserves in the US.
Andersen previously designed the Buffett Nature Center at Fontenelle Forest in 1999. He has established a reputation for park and nature reserve planning worldwide with his work on national parks in Panama, Guyana, Belize, Costa Rica and most recently in Vietnam.
