ACCREDITED PROGRAM
Iowa State's undergraduate Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) degree program is nationally accredited by the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The BLA program received a full six-year accreditation in 2007 and will be reviewed again in 2013.
The ISU landscape architecture program also offers a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree to students who hold an undergraduate professional degree in the design fields. The department has recently redeveloped its master's degree programs to create a first professional MLA, for which we are seeking accreditation, as well as a Master of Science in Landscape Architecture (MSLA) as a research or post-professional degree. Both new degree programs were approved during Spring 2010.
