First-Year Experience

The undergraduate curricula in the College of Design are divided into two phases: a one-year, preprofessional Core Design Program and either a professional or generalist degree program. All incoming freshmen and transfer students attend a common set of studio and lecture classes—the design core—intended to prepare you for application to any of our professional degree programs (which are listed in the links menu at the left of your screen).
