30th Anniversary

Mind, Material and Borrowed Time
Nov 12, 2009 7:00 pm-8:00 pm
Brunnier Art Museum

Bringing the anatomy of animals together with digital art, this presentation addresses how we borrow from our natural environment to examine, understand and view the physical world. Between the scientific and artistic perspectives, both presenters will explain how they approach the physical presence of animals in manipulating nature's material so they can see and show what they want to see, need to see, and to create new ways of seeing.

Wolfgang Weber is a teaching lab associate who focuses on the field of veterinary anatomy in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Carol Faber is an assistant professor of art and design whose research emphasizes digital imagery and intuitive ways of working with technologies.

Part of the programming series accompanying the ReLationShips: From Our Roots exhibition at the Brunnier Art Museum.
