Kathranne Knight & Kevin Lair

Kathranne Knight, an Iowa State University lecturer in art and visual culture and interdisciplinary design, is one of six artists named 2017 George L. Stout Fellows for Art in the Public Sphere. The fellowships support artist residencies based in or near Madison County, Iowa.

Knight’s work is included in the fellowship program’s inaugural exhibition, Embark, curated by Kevin Lair, ISU lecturer in architecture and interdisciplinary design. Public receptions will be held in Des Moines Saturday, Oct. 7, at Rush Hall from 5-7 p.m. and at the Market One Building from 6-8 p.m. A dialogue with Knight and Ignatius Widiapradja will start at 7 p.m. at Market One.
