Graduate Degrees

The Iowa State University Architecture Program offers the following professional and research-oriented degrees in architecture.

• The Master of Architecture (MArch) is an accredited professional degree that emphasizes architecture as an integrated knowledge of design/media, intellectual rigor, science/technology and professional responsibility.
• The Master of Science in Architecture (MS in Arch) is a research degree for students who want to pursue graduate-level research in the built environment.

Double-degree programs are offered with the Community and Regional Planning Program (Master of Architecture/Master of Community and Regional Planning) and College of Business (Master of Architecture/Master of Business Administration).

All of these graduate programs encourage interdisciplinary work within the College of Design and across related fields within the university.
