The "30 and Beyond" alumni exhibition in Gallery 181 is open to public viewing through noon on Saturday, September 26, 2009. The online exhibition is available at http://www.design.iastate.edu/30/alumnishow.php.

Tiffany (DeWitte) Atilano became the College of Design's career services and alumni coordinator on Aug. 17. She was a communications specialist for ISU's Trademark Licensing Office for five years and previously had served as a graphic designer for the ISU department of public safety. Atilano received a master of business administration with a marketing specialization (2007) and a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design (2001), both from Iowa State.
Among her responsibilities, Atilano will provide career information and counseling to current students; develop and enhance employment and internship recruiting relationships; market and facilitate connections between students and graduates with potential employers; and serve as a resource for students, faculty, administrators and alumni on employment issues and trends.
A new aspect of this position will be the coordination of college alumni communications and activities to enhance relationships with alumni. Atilano may be contacted at (515) 294-0735 or tiffany@iastate.edu.
All College of Design alumni are invited to join our group on
LinkedIn. The group has been set up primarily to allow design alums to
network with one another and with college faculty and staff. Alumni are
also asked to notify the college of internship and employment
opportunities with their firms. Sign up or, if you already have an

Design Career Services recently joined other campus career services offices in using ISU CMS (Iowa State University Career Management Service) for posting internships, entry-level and professional positions. This password-protected online system has many features that will benefit students, alumni and employers. College of Design alumni can access employment opportunities through ISU CMS by completing the registration form.
Alumni can assist current students and fellow alums by encouraging their employers to include the College of Design in recruiting activities such as Career Days, on-campus interviews and employment postings.
