To meet a significant national need in becoming the leading academic and research location for innovation and practical application for community design, planning, and enhancement toward creatively strengthening small towns and urban neighborhoods. By building upon the needs created through changing trends in ethnicity and population, the center will use history, the sense of place, and other strategies to build capacity and understanding. Creative new approaches to this body of work should become synonymous with the identity of the Center.
