September 25, 2008 The presentation included an analysis of Perry's retail business sector and local demographic trends. All Perry business, community and elected leaders were invited to hear and discuss this important information. Current retail sales data, performance measures, and comparative indices for Perry and Dallas County, along with local and regional competitiveness data were also examined. Presenter: Meghan O'Brien joined Iowa State University in 2007 after a career in banking and the mortgage industry. She completed her graduate work in economics at George Mason University. Her specific areas of expertise include retail trade analysis, community development and general applied economics. Collaborating with research centers and faculty at Iowa State University, she has delivered similar programs around the state.
