Windows Instructions:

1. Click here and choose RUN
2. Choose RUN if there is a security warning
3. That should be all you need to do. The printer will be installed as DOC HP Printer
   IF you have a problem installing the file. Open My Computer, go to c:\lj9050, then double click on setup9050.bat. If this doesn't work, please email mcmiller@iastate.edu as soon as possible!

1. Click here and choose SAVE
2. Unzip this driver to your desktop somewhere
3. Go to Start/Settings/Printers and add a new printer
4. Choose a local printer (even though it's networked)
5. Choose Create a New Port then choose Standard TCP/IP port
6. In the Hostname field type 10.10.9.14 (the port field will also fill in automatically)
7. Click Next
8. When it asks for Drivers, choose HAVE DISK
9. Change the location to the file you unzipped above and choose the hpc9050d.inf file.
10. Choose the Hp LaserJet 9050 driver then give it a name you can remember.

Windows VISTA I am working on a script to automate this but in the meantime, you will have to do it manually.

1. Download this file
2. run the installer and use the default installation location
3. Go to Start/Settings/Printers and add a new printer
4. Choose a local printer (even though it's networked)
5. Choose Create a New Port then choose Standard TCP/IP port
6. In the Hostname field type vendprint.design.iastate.edu (the port field will also fill in automatically)
7. Click Next
8. Now you'll get a screen that says "Additional Port Information Required" Click on Custom then Settings
9. In the Protocol section, change from Raw to LPR
10. In the LPR settings section, type Lab_printer_1 in the Queue Name field
11. Click the LPT Byte Counting Enabled box
12. Click OK
13. Click Next
14. Click on Have Disk
15. Change the location to the place where you installed the printer driver in step 2
16. Click on hpc9050d.inf (should be the only one) and click open
17. Now choose HP LaserJet 9050 PS in the Install Printer Driver window (may have to click Next)
18. Then give the printer a name and click next
19. That should do it!

Mac OSX Instructions

1. Login to the Design server at macosx1.design.iastate.edu
   User: macguest
   password: design
2. Open the Printing Volume
3. Choose the Black_and_White_Printing Folder
4. Follow the instructions for your operating system
