Installing Fonts on the Macs

In order to install fonts from the Class_Server, you will want to quit all applications.

1. Open the Class_Server icon. Locate the Fonts folder. Inside this folder are many individual font folders, labeled with the font name. Locate the font you’d like to use. Open the folder. You need to make sure that you can see the computer’s hard drive icon on the desktop. When the hard drive icon and the font’s folder are visible, select all of the icons within that particular font’s folder and drag them over the hard drive icon.

2. After a short wait, the icon will open. Drop the items into /Library/Fonts. This will copy the fonts to the Fonts folder inside the Library.

3. If you have fonts of your own, you may install those fonts following the same basic instructions. Open the font’s folder - for example: ITC Tiepolo Folder contains the ITC Tiepolo font suitcase, and a series of six Postscript font files. You need to make sure all seven items get installed in order for the font to display and print correctly. Select all of the items and drag them to the System Folder. The fonts will be automatically installed in the correct place.
