Laser Cutter : What you need to have before your appointment

What you need to have before your appointment:

When you arrive at your appointment, you should have the following:

Your completed file, ready to cut. This will help maximize your time. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are finished by the end of your session, and do not run overtime.
Materials Approval Form, if you plan to cut materials other than those purchased from the labs. This form is available from either Jennifer Nieland (room 433), or Mike Miller (room 430). You will be assessed a materials fee per sheet to be cut. This form is good for 1 - 3 days. Not all materials are suitable for the laser cutter. We reserve the right to deny the use of certain materials based on suitability and safety issues. Material that will not work, or is unsafe:
- Foam Core (burns rather spectacularly!)
- Paper
- Materials over 1/8 in. thick
- Metal
CyCash on your ISU card to pay for materials, setup fees, or materials fees. We do not accept cash, checks, or credit cards. All fees must be paid at the start of your session.
