Lab Hours

Summer – Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm
Fall/Spring – Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 2:00 am, Friday: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm, Saturday: noon - 10:00 pm, Sunday: noon - 2:00 am
Closed during semester breaks; reduced hours for Spring break, and the first week of classes, Fall and Spring semesters

Armory Information

6– 20 G5/dual 2GHz – 1 GB RAM, SuperDrives (CD-R/DVD-ROM/DVD-R) and iDVD

Printing Information

All lab printers are located in our output center in room 426 Design, along with other additional, specialized devices. All transactions are handled with Cy-Cash or Departmental Copy Cards.

Printers

Black and white printers: free. We ask that patrons print responsibly, and that all course materials are optimized to print efficiently and quickly.

Color Printer: Paper Sizes - Letter (8.5x11), Tabloid (11x17), and 12x18, and several types of paper – First print - $1.00, multiple copies of that print - $.25

Wide Format color printer: handles up to 36 inch wide prints on Photo Luster paper: $.60 per linear inch

Photo Printer: Satin and Glossy papers in the following sizes: 8.5x11 - $2.00, 13x19 - $4.00, 17 x 22 - $6.00

KIP Engineering Plotter/Copier: up to 36 inch wide black and white plots on bond paper. New lower price! $1.00/liner-foot. Some applications have built-in length limitations on printable areas.

Other Equipment

Laser Cutter: fees - $.10 per minute, plus the cost of standardized materials purchased through the output center, with minimal fees for training and using other materials (Materials Approval Form required for other materials – not everything can or should be cut on the laser cutter).

We stock the following materials for use with the laser cutters:

1/8 Clear Acrylic - $8.00
1/16 White Acrylic - $9.00
1/16 White Acrylic - $10.00

3D Printer: $3.00/cubic inch material

Self-serve photocopier: 8.5x11: $.10, 11x17: $.20

Equipment Available for Checkout - Current ISU ID must be presented

Cameras: still and video (digital) - no fees. Video cameras require a mini-DV tape, to be provided by the patron.

Projectors: for class work only

Remotes for the following critique spaces: 4th Floor Landing (Center), 3rd Floor North (triangle space), and 3rd Floor Landing (Center). Please reserve all spaces through room 134, the Admin Office.
