The College of Design is pleased to offer students a variety of international study experiences throughout the world. The college's flagship Rome Program allows you to study for a semester or a summer in your chosen major while you take classes that are fully integrated with the ISU curriculum. We also offer short-term study abroad and exchange opportunities in locations around the world.
All students participating in study abroad and exchange programs and the faculty members who lead students abroad will be covered by CISI, an international health insurance and emergency services plan. Participants will be automatically enrolled in CISI prior to departure and will receive insurance materials via e-mail.
CISI insurance also is available to faculty and staff traveling internationally on university business, and it is centrally funded for this purpose. Enrollment in this case is not automatic; please contact Erin French for assistance at least three weeks prior to departure.
Faculty interested in leading study abroad programs can find logistical and financial information here.
