Iowa State University
The interior design program is located in the 5-story College of Design building. Numerous special facilities support the unique college learning community.
These include
  • A satellite of the ISU Bookstore art supply department
  • Design Cafe
  • Design Gallery
  • Modelmaking Studio
  • Mac and PC Computer Labs
  • Design Reading Room
  • Visual Resource Collection (including the digital Platos Cave)
  • and Career Services
  • ATM Machine

The interior design program also has a dedicated resource room. The resource room is open 15-20 hours per week.

 
A computer purchase program permits sophomores to acquire a high end PC lap top computer. The installation of Auto CAD, Office, Photoshop, and several other useful design programs. Payment is divided into installments for six semesters. Interior design students are highly encouraged to use the program to acquire a lap top and have the access to the necessary design software.
