Graduate Assistantships The Department of Community and Regional Planning has a limited number of teaching assistantships available to its graduate students. The majority of these assistantships are quarter-time (ten hours per week), extend through the academic year (nine months), provide a monthly stipend of at least $700 (2007-2008 rate), offer paid medical benefits, and may provide a 25% discount on resident tuition. A letter of intent and specific benefits information will be mailed to students if and when they have been offered an assistantship. Assistantships are also available through the College of Design, the Institute for Design, Research, and Outreach, and ISU Extension. CRP will nominate qualified applicants for these assistantships. In addition, there are a number of research assistantships available where students work directly with faculty on their funded research projects. To maximize your chances of being considered for Fall assistantship opportunities, complete your application by January 1. You must indicate on your application that you wish to be considered for an assistantship. Click here for additional information regarding graduate assistantships. Updated 02/08/08-04:56 PID:918 |
