•    What kinds of pieces do you advise putting in the portfolio for your 4 extra pieces of your choice?

Refer to the requirements for OPTIONAL free content (http://www.design.iastate.edu/CORE/port.php ). We advise you to include outside work only if:

1) it is excellent and

2) it demonstrates something we cannot see in the rest of the portfolio.

Consult your studio instructors for advice on specific pieces.

•    Do I have a better chance of getting in after Drawing II?

Not necessarily, although this does give you more work and your drawing skills are likely stronger after completing a second drawing course.

•    Should we show process work for free choice submissions?

Yes, if the process is relevant to the final piece, although this is not required.
